Patrick Tisseghem left this world rushing straight to heaven on Wednesday September 3, 2008. Though I knew patrick for few days, this was enough to engrave him in my mind and heart for the eternity. He was a wonderful teacher, a nice person and a giving spirit.
One of the biggest technology exhibitions in the world is GITEX. It amazes you with the technologies you see every year both on hardware and software levels. The last year 2007 was a big failure for many reasons, but this year it was much better. Still I think it did not really recover from the “2007 disastrous fail”, but there were fair ups against downs in it.

Finally Adobe has come up with an interim solution to address the non-availability of a 64 bit ifilter. Now one can use the 32-bit Adobe IFilter on 64-bit platforms after installing a DCOM addin from Adobe. The installation instructions can be found on the Adobe Labs Wiki.
